Suzanne Eliastam, Founder and Head Designer, has served as a consultant in interior design, art, and architecture.  She established Verre Unique in 1999.

Prior to her design work in the decorative arts, Suzanne designed and manufactured couture maternity clothes under the name of Toujours Belle, beginning in 1982.  Her ready-to-wear line was carried by high end department and maternity stores. Expectant celebrities and European royalty wore her clothes, as well as style-conscious mothers-to-be in business and at home. As a result of her high-profile success, Suzanne appeared as a regular fashion commentator and reporter on the nationally syndicated TV show Hour Magazine.
